Today is the Women's Engineering Society's International Women in Engineering Day, and we would like to celebrate the achievements of five women in particular from Sensors & Controls Engineering and the Industrial Division that recently completed the classroom element of the Six Sigma Green Belt Training.

They were part of a 15-strong team from a range of roles (from Production to Engineering and Operations) to complete the classroom element and receive their Curtiss-Wright certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt from the Curtiss-Wright Lean Council.

This training contains multiple avenues, is intensive and has equipped them with the necessary tools and problem-solving methodology to drive continuous improvement within Curtiss-Wright.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a significant milestone in an employee's professional development, and this five-day training course has provided those who completed and passed it with essential knowledge and skills to lead project teams, collect and analyze data, and apply Six Sigma principles effectively.

As certified Green Belts, they now possess the ability to select and lead projects at the right time, ensuring that we can focus on the most impactful initiatives. It also demonstrates their commitment to team leadership and achieving operational excellence.

Once again, congratulations to all on this remarkable achievement.
